The AccountInsight tracker works based on reverse business IP tracking as it enables to identify the business IP addresses of website visitors. It links the identified business IP address to a wholly owned global database of businesses.
We do not identify any personal IP addresses, mobile devices or any other data than that associated with the business. Business related data is not applicable under GDPR – which intends to protect personal data. Therefore, the TDE tracker is not relevant to GDPR.
In regards to the data we hold, the only identifier we keep is the IP from which we find the name of the business that visits your website.
There are 6 main clauses which mean a business is allowed to legally capture data when GDPR is launched. The main one factor that entitles us is “Legitimate Interest”.
In short, when a business visits your site, this is classed as a “legitimate Interest”, which means you can use the above data to identify the visiting organization.
